The Lord Of The Rings Three Volume Set: The Fellowship Of The Ring, The Two Towers, The Return Of The King.

Three Volumes In The Trilogy, All First Editions, Later Printings. Fellowship Is A 1962 Twelfth Impression, Two Towers, 1962 Ninth Impression, Return King, 1961 Eight Impression. All Jackets Are Correct And Correspond To Their Impression Numbers. The Fellowship Of The Ring Bears The Author's Signature On A Pasted-In Slip Of Paper, And Is The Only Signed Volume Among The Three. Have Described As 'Good/Good' But This Is Erring On The Side Of Caution As They Are All Certainly On The 'Plus Side Of Good'. All Jackets Are Complete And Bear The Publisher's Original Price Of 21 Shillings. All The Jackets Have Minor Wear In The Form Of Light Edge Creasing Plus A Few Very Small (What Appears To Be) Foxing Marks. They Also Have One Sellotape Residue Mark To Inside Flaps Where Previously Fitted Protective Sleeve Has Been Removed (New Ones Now Fitted), These Stains Have Also Made A Slight Impression On The Endpapers, And Also Multiply Stains Of The Same Type To The Inside Faces Of The Jackets. Return Of The King Has A Very Tiny Edge Tear To Upper Edge Of Spine Joint Area. Fellowship Has A Longer One (1/4") To Jacket Upper Rear Joint Area, And Also Has Some Tolkien Postage Stamps Affixed To Front Free Endpaper, Together With A Newspaper Cutting To Paste-Down Endpaper. All The Volumes Have A Slight Spine Slope. There Are Also Occasional Minor Marks To Page Edges (Very Light). All The Maps Are Present. Fellowship Map Has One Tiny Edge Tear Along Inner Side. The Book Cloth Covers Are Of A Clean And Tidy Appearance With Just The Merest Of Shelf Wear. Fellowship Has A Couple Of Very Light (Almost Indiscernible) Marks. All In All A Tidy, Presentable Which Would Grace Any Tolkien Collection.  More Photos Available On Request.
